We’d just like to say a huge thank you to Paul for the hire of his van.
The hand-over and return processes were swift, friendly and relaxed with Paul taking as much time as we needed to explain the features of his van, ‘Bertie’ to us.
We hired the van to drive to, around and back from the Peak District covering about 550 miles in total. One of our favourite moments was lying on the bed with the tailgate open looking out at the fabulous view of the dales and one of our most grateful moments was when the wind and the rain were pummelling the tents in the campsite and we were dry and toastie inside the van. NB: no tents were hurt in writing of this review!
The van is in great condition, lovely to drive and comfortable to live in. Part of the reason why we chose this van was to compare the wide bed layout with the narrow bed/kitchenette layout. We much preferred Bertie’s layout due to the wider, comfortable bed and the lack of cooking smells in the van.
We’d be more than happy to rent Bertie again or to recommend this van to anyone looking for the VW ‘Beach’ experience.
