The van itself was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend away. You can tell it’s really well looked after. What a fantastic trip with Art. The van is very convenient, everything at hand, comfortable bed, enough energy to go wild camping, and Scotland has beautiful places for that. Highly recommended. Also very nice contact with Ian and Raji, very helpful and flexible. The van made us fall in love with Scotland and with traveling by van. At first, I found driving on the left and shifting gears exciting, but I quickly got used to it.

We could not have asked for a better week driving through the Highlands in Art! Ian and Raja were amazing hosts and delivered a seamless experience for us. They were friendly, knowledgeable and approachable throughout the week. The van is in great condition and really comfortable for three people. There is great storage space and the small touches made van life really special!

Outstanding Campervan Hire Experience! We had an amazing time hiring the campervan from Ian. From start to finish, Ian’s communication was brilliant—prompt, helpful, and friendly before, during, and even after our rental. His local knowledge was invaluable in planning our trip, collection, drop off, perfectly aligned with our flights, and his support made everything so much easier. It’s these little touches that made the experience so enjoyable. A massive thank you to Ian and Raji for their generous hospitality and support. Where to begin? This isn’t just about renting a sweet van and exploring the Highlands….both of which were fantastic. It’s about connecting with Ian and Raji, who are clearly committed to providing an incredible experience for their renters. We could have chosen a variety of different vans in Goboony but decided on Art due to our interactions with Ian and Raji. They were responsive to our questions and helpful as we navigated the logistics of planning our journey. We felt like we were chatting with trusted friends. The van performed flawlessly, the bed was AMAZING and the kitchen stocked with everything we needed. After a day of exploring, it was nice to come “home”, cook a simple meal, and snuggle in out of the rain. After a thorough orientation, we drove away with confidence knowing we would have support solving any problems that might arise. As corny as it sounds, Ian and Raji are family now and will forever have a place in our hearts.

Arti is een fantastische camper. Het was voor ons de eerste keer dat we met een camper op reis gingen en dat met het stuur rechts en schakelen links. De camper is zeer handelbaar en inderdaad 100% offgrid. Je kunt makkelijk een paar dagen leven op de accu's en het zonnepaneel. De inrichting is ook logisch, alles ligt opde juiste plek. Hij is prima voor zijn tweeën maar met zijn drieën is hij volgens ons te klein. Echt ern annrader

As for 3 people in it, it's certainly cosy :) We had a family of 3 rent before (review below - Anthony) and I've travelled with my wife and sister and with two old school friends for a week but you'd definitely want to be very comfortable with your travel companions, I agree! It's pretty comical having close-quarters, adult-sleepovers Haha.

I cannot recommend booking Art enough! We have just come back from one of the best weeks of our lives! The van is really well thought out and easy to use, it’s the perfect space for a Scottish (or further afield) adventure. It is light and airy, but super cosy in the evenings, with a very efficient heater should you need it. The kitchen has everything you could need to make all meals and the bed is really comfy. My boyfriend said it was a great van to drive. The cab is really comfy and spacious, with a charger / Bluetooth radio adapter for your tunes (or a very eclectic selection of CDs). It’s also insanely fuel efficient, we only filled up once in a week and we went to Lewis, Harris and Skye! Ian and Raji were beyond great and even stocked the fridge with some beers for my boyfriend’s birthday! They were incredibly communicative throughout the booking process, and really helpful and patient when we had an issue with driving licenses, which I was really grateful for. I could blabber on for an age about how great the experience was; I will be recommending Art, Ian and Raji to everyone I meet for the foreseeable!!! Thank you so much :) (Also very much recommend the Isle of Lewis and Harris - in particular Immerse Hebrides whale and dolphin watching boat tour and Reef beach campsite in Kneep.)

Art is an excellent van. Great to drive and very comfortable. We slept great with the comfy bedding, bedding, and light out curtains provided. Van was very clean and organized. The van came with everything we needed to make meals and have a great time. We hit some very rainy weather and we stayed dry and warm in Art with the great heater. Ian was very communicative and warm and friendly. He made picking up and dropping off the van very easy. He took time to show us all the ins and outs of the van to make sure we had a great time. He helped us make a plan and was super with helping us by answering questions about van camping in Scotland We loved our experience and highly recommend art the van and Ian to everyone.

As they say in Scotland' "it was blowing a Hooley!" You got the full Scottish blasting, but that's really when Art actually comes into his own ... He's unbelievable to come back to from those days lol and nice to wait out the storm too so glad you felt the same.

Had an amazing time on the NC 500. Ian was super helpful and gave us a proper run down in the van. Art took us all round with no problems tackling some of the littler roads with easy. Super warm to come back too.

We hired Art for a week-long adventure through Skye and Harris, and had a great time! The van was comfortable, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for cooking, sleeping, and storage. The medium wheelbase made it easy to drive too. The separate storage area under the bed was good to have. It (just!) fit our two mountain bikes and was great for keeping our bikes, helmets, and gear organised and out of the way. Ian was fantastic—he gave us a thorough walkthrough of the van before we set off and even checked in during our trip to make sure everything was going smoothly. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend Art for anyone looking for the perfect adventure van!

Ian is one of the kindest and coolest humans we've had the pleasure of meeting/renting from over the years! He was extremely responsive and answered our (millions, ha!) of questions before the trip + provided some awesome food and hiking/adventuring reccos - we absolutely loved Culture Cafe in Inverness! Handoff was easy, and Ian was timely/responsive. We had such a lovely experience overall in the van. The kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed for our 10 day roadtrip (we cooked from scratch almost every meal), plus the bed and other amenities in the van were so comfy. We took the van about 750+ miles and everything was very smooth plus Ian was avail at all times if we had questions pop up during the trip. We did the entire NC500 with some added coastline and a visit to the Isle of Skye. More info below! Some campsites we enjoyed: - Wick River (easily walk to Wick) - Shieldaig (family owned, nice location) - Port o Bhaig - Portree Campsite was easy for Isle of Skye (could walk into town from the camp) An absolutely stunning hike with views: - Stac Pollaidh - The Quiraing (the weather didn't permit this hike but it was unreal to see even from the start of it) - The Old man of Storr (go early before others) A must try food spot: - Shorehouse Restaurant in Tarbet/Lairg - on a really windy/small road that takes you to the end of a port/bay that feels like you are in a movie! Some stops we loved in good weather: - Castle Sinclair (walk far to the right over the hill away from the castle, found some great sea stacks with epic views, no one around or any other tourists in sight!) - Duncansby Stacks - Strathy Beach (jumped in the water in August!) Achmelvich Bay would have been good too but we didn't get lucky with the weather that day - Whaligoe Steps - Latheronwheel Harbour and bridge - Thurso (wish we could have walked around more here)

It was an absolute pleasure having you guys visit and take Art out in the good loop ;) It was so nice chatting with you guys too - I wasn't in such a good way with my injury at the time but your kindness and positive energy gave me a real lift.
Awesome you really used the van to it's full, staying off grid, cooking loads and adventuring from there. Great recommendations above and thank you for the photo you took of me too. It's actually the image that flashes to me when I think of the experience renting the camper that summer, helping to pay the bills whilst I couldn't work.

My husband Benji and I had the BEST time discovering the North Coast 500 with "Art". The van had everything we needed and was absolutely comfortable and cozy inside! Due to the perfect size of the van we discovered the most beautiful spots to stay for the night and had a great time overall! Ian was extremely kind and explained everything we needed to know, so we had an easy time figuring everything out. We loved our trip and would definitely wanna travel with "Art" a second time! A week away on the west coast of Scotland with my 10 year old son, an absolute brilliant week, and an amazing experience for my little boy. The stunning views and places we visited were truly stunning. We started at Fort William and headed over to the isle of sky. My boy’s favourite 2 things he said he loved doing was seeing the fairy pools, jumping in the pools and seeing the amazing waterfalls. wilding camping was such an experience for us both. Waking up and opening the motorhomes door to the most beautiful views. Such calm waters, sat with a coffee and truly relaxing. The motorhome was absolutely superb, it had everything we needed, it was like a home from home. We made great dinners in there and sat and chilled when the weather wasn’t too great. It truly made our holiday very special and I made great memories with my little boy. Memories we will both treasure for life. 😍. I truly recommend this to anyone. It just takes your mind of your busy lifestyles. I would like to thank Ian and his partner Raj for letting us taking Art on this amazing adventure. And would definitely be doing it again! Or I may have one of my own very soon! 😊. Thank you once again.

We had an excellent trip to the Isle of Skye in Art! Ian was an excellent host and it was easy to contact him before and during the trip. The van was very clean and full of essentials when we picked it up making it a great home from home as we travelled around the island. Would definitely recommend Ian and Art the van!

I recently rented Ian's campervan "Art" for a trip around the Isle of Skye with a friend, and it was fantastic. The design of "Art" is super thoughtful and minimalistic, with everything we needed in a form of compact and stylish space. Everything worked perfectly, especially the heater, which made those Scottish cold evenings and mornings really comfy. The pickup and drop-off procedures were completely non-problematic - Ian has kindly explained us all we needed. Our adventure around the Isle of Skye was truly memorable. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay in Art! Ian has really thought of everything you need for a relaxing bit of van lifing; a *super* comfy bed, a great kitchen and seating area, and a really effective heater for those chillier evenings. There's plenty of the power from leisure battery to keep your stuff charged and more than enough storage for all your holiday bits. It's a great sized van - we took Art up around the Torridon area and onto Skye, and it handled all the windy steep roads like a dream. Not too long for manoeuvres to be a pain, especially compared to some of the huge motorhomes we saw on the road. Meeting Ian was great, he made the handovers a breeze, chatting us through everything we needed to know clearly and answering any q's we had. During the trip he was very responsive and super helpful when we had an issue with GoBoony! We'd happily recommend Art to anyone wanting an off the beaten track adventure into some of the best of what Scotland has to offer! Thanks again Ian! (Hope your leg heals up soon mate!)

Very good communication with Ian before and during the trip. Good handover and introduction to the camper van. Ian and Raji are both so friendly and helpful. We had a great time in the camper van and got to experience Isle of Skye and the area around Fort William. It was a perfect and very cosy base all four days both in good and bad weather. We had everything we needed and the camper van was so nicely equipped and furnished. We can really recommend this camper van for exploring Scotland.

We had a fantastic 4 night drive around the Isle of Skye in Art. 3 adults, parents and young adult son. The van was perfect, small enough to drive and manoeuvre with minimal blind spots and tall enough to stand up in when cooking. It was beautifully set up with lots of storage for luggage, equipment and food. The beds were super comfortable, both the main double bed and the small single bed made up from the dining seats. We all slept very well every night. Ian thoughtfully provided picnic tables and chairs and we enjoyed picnic lunches with unbeatable views, all the better for having the well equipped kitchen just behind us. We could cook up some pretty gourmet meals with just the 2 burner gas hob and small but adequate fridge. Its completely off grid and there’s more than enough drinking water storage With the front seats swiveled round, the van was surprisingly roomy and had dining space for 3 in bad weather. Ian and Raji are excellent hosts and there are so many thoughtful touches in the van, down to a hangboard which gave our son his daily dose of pull ups! Ian was very responsive to all our messages and we had a very clear idea of what to expect when we arrived. They gave us a very detailed walk around explaining everything clearly and there is also a detailed manual to explain all the equipment. The driving position is good and all passengers got a panoramic view. The pick up location is also very convenient, right in the city centre. We very highly recommend this van and its excellent owners !
