Dean is very helpful, trustworthy, and pleasant. Handover was quick and easy. There are plenty of YouTube vids explaining all aspects about Doris. I did 1007 miles through Cotswolds, Lake District and Welsh mountains, with no trouble. Doris is well maintained and well equipped. It was my first time using a camper van and would definitely hire Doris again. April 2026

The handover with Dean was very smooth and we felt comforted by this as it was our first time in a motorhome. We had 4 days in Cornwall and we loved the freedom that the motorhome brings. Doris is compact enough to cope with the roads in Cornwall and the bed is small but comfortable. She is easy to drive as well. April 2026

Dean is a Great host and it was a real easy handover when collecting Doris, he explains everything you need to know before you leave, She’s immaculately clean and tidy, just take your own quilt, food & alcohol for a few cocktails at night under the stars on the coast taking in the views 😍 me, my partner and Ziggy the dog hired doris for a week for Christmas and went home to North Yorkshire to stay in Whitby (very cold weather up there) but the camper was very very comfortable and warm with the mattress topper and diesel heater, we had the best sleep we’ve had in a long time, 5 stars all the way we highly recommend to anyone looking to hire a camper to go and explore, she’s the perfect little setup for any weather and for off grid, the only part we didn’t like was when we had to give her back 😂 we’ve already planned our next couple of trips to explore Cornwall and a trip over to jersey. Thank you for the hire dean we had an amazing Christmas and can’t wait for our next trip with Doris, we appreciate it, see you soon Dezember 2025

Dean is a wonderful host. Right from my first inquiry he was responsive to questions and helpful and he also picked me up and dropped me off at the train station. ‘Doris’ is easy to drive and a comfy home for the week I hired her. I did have a few issues during the hire, I think some were personal, some circumstantial and others van specific, which I’ve spoken to Dean about and said he’ll attend to. Firstly, I did find the roof difficult to push up and pull down, I don’t have a lot of upper body strength and it did get easier as the week went on, so just a consideration if this maybe relates to you. Also, it began raining heavily whilst we were doing check in so Dean put back the bed whilst I was completing check in and therefore didn’t see how it was done and there was no video, so my first morning was abit of a struggle. Though I did work out to pull the strap from the back of the van (which is actually quite easy), which is differently than he does it anyway 🙃.. I recommend this to any one else perhaps who doesn’t have height & strength to do it from the front. The major issue when I hired the van was that the visibility when driving was impaired at times. There was extreme weather, rain and snow, during that week. The windscreen would fog up, especially in the mornings with all the moisture built up overnight and the windshield fan was only effective when blasted on full. This was only comfortable to do this intermittently as it was cool air, the front cabin heater was not working. This was an issue in that there was no heating when driving in the cold and also when you did need to use it it made the cabin colder. The van has a deisel heater which works really well, and uses little fuel. So I did learn to use this to heat the van whilst driving in cold weather, otherwise it was too cold in the cab. Though having to blast the fan to clear the windscreen would counter that. The back windscreen wipers also weren’t working which impaired visibility especially in heavy rain. Dean had not been aware of some of these issues as he had not driven in that weather, so assured me he would get them fixed, which I’m sure he will. So as long as the fan in front cab and back windscreen wipers have been fixed I would not hesitate recommending Doris. Once again I endorse Dean and think he’s a good person to hire from. Wir haben Doris sehr genossen! Es war unser erstes Mal Camping in einem Van. Die Übergabe durch Dean verlief großartig und reibungslos. Using Doris for a trip to Newquay was a dream. From the initial contact with Dean making the enquiry, to the handover of her. It was a very easy process. Dean was very thorough was his handover explaining how everything worked and had even produced a folder with useful QR links to videos incase you needed them. The trip it self was amazing with everything you need included for a weekend away …. Even tea and coffee. Then returning Doris back home to Dean, the paperwork was easy and the deposit released within minutes. We would highly recommend Doris to anyone wanting to try transporter life. Mai 2025

Our trip in Doris was faultless! From Dean & Jo’s welcome and explanation of the van, through to us returning the keys, we had the most amazing experience. The van itself is beautifully fitted out and the bed and mattress topper are plenty comfortable for two! The van itself drives beautifully and the additional extras offered (camping chairs, table, stove etc.) with the van were certainly a little bonus, oh and we can’t forget the biscuits… a lovely little surprise when opening the cupboard to grab a teabag! We wouldn’t hesitate to book Doris again and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend others to use her! März 2025
