Absolutely NOT recommended.
Reading this guest’s review, you would almost think this was a completely different rental.
Before departure, the guest personally inspected the camper, checked the relevant items and signed the rental agreement confirming its condition and requirements. Everything was explained clearly. Yet after returning the van, suddenly there were complaints about things he had already checked and agreed to.
The funniest part is the complaint about the water containers. They were not some mysterious hidden requirement — they were clearly explained before departure and included in the agreed return conditions. The containers were meant to be emptied and dealt with properly on return. Instead, it appears that the problem was not confusion at all, but simply not wanting to do the job because it was easier to complain afterwards.
And then there is the part conveniently missing from his review: the condition of the vehicle and the issues that arose during the rental. The vehicle subsequently suffered serious mechanical problems, which resulted in other guests having their bookings cancelled and caused considerable disruption and expense.
So apparently the story is: inspect the camper, sign the agreement, accept the conditions, return it, and then complain that the conditions you agreed to were somehow unfair. Very convenient.
I also went out of my way to help with the airport return and even offered transport afterwards. That was apparently worth mentioning in his review — but the rest of the story somehow disappeared.
GOBOONY was involved in the dispute regarding the deposit and dealt with it independently. Despite that, the review still attempts to create the impression that I simply invented charges and treated them unfairly.
I would not rent to this guest again, and I strongly recommend other owners think twice before accepting a booking from him.
There are plenty of respectful, honest and responsible guests. Unfortunately, based on my experience, this was not one of them.
