'Dave' is everything you need for a campervan holiday. He's confy and great to drive. These are the essential qualities and I didn't realise they were until I holidayed with 'Dave' and my elderly dog. Mel and Keith are warm, friendly people who really want you to have the best time in their van. I loved how there were items stored in the van I wouldn't have thought of bringing. I hope to hire 'Dave' again for more adventures. September 2025

We have nothing but excellent things to say about our experience renting 'Dave' the van from Melanie. The handover was straightforward and covered all important information and details. The van itself was great to drive. Everything in the van is in excellent condition. Setting the bed up to sleep is super easy and we both slept really well. It's the first time we've rented a van and would definitely do it again, as long as 'Dave' is available. 10/10 would recommend!! August 2025

We had a great experience travelling with “Dave”! Below we detail out experience travelling with this converted campervan. **Highlights:** - The king-size bed is plenty spacious. I’m 195cm tall and slept comfortably. - The van has plenty of power and was able to handle steep 25% inclines. - The gas oven is fantastic, we enjoyed delicious pizzas and quiches. - The fridge works well and keeps everything cool. There is even a small freezer compartment. - The toilet and shower with hot water are a real luxury. - Heating works well, even though it doesn’t blow directly on the windows. We took Dave to Scotland for 2 weeks and it was the time of our lives. The owner Mel made the whole of difference, in my experience of hiring vans/cars you know there are always potential issues around every corner but having someone that can promptly help and be friendly makes such a difference. The campervan was comfortable, the bed was very large, the kitchen had everything you needed, the little fairy lights made it very cozy at night and we managed to get some insane views as you can see from the pictures. We'll never forget this holiday Juni 2025

This was the first time going on a trip in a camper van and I have to say it's not gonna be the last one. The handover of Dave was flawless, we unpacked and headed to Scotland in a matter of minutes while our car waited safely in Melanie's parking lot. Being the first experience for us there were some small hickups but Melanie was in constant contact and helped us with ideas. With a bit of on-line research you will eventually find absolutely all the answers to potential questions. There is a learning curve but once passed you will definitely feel like home. There is a surprising amount of storage, a gas stove and hob, a small kitchen sink and all the amenities one would need in a bathroom to feel civilised even while wild camping. The bed is very big and comfortable and I say this from a hight of 193cm while my wife is 183. 10/10 would recommend and hope to see Dave again. August 2024

Mel war zur Stelle, um uns zu helfen, als wir ein paar Fragen zu Elektrik usw. hatten – das haben wir sehr geschätzt! Unsere letzte Nacht verbrachten wir im Tan Hill Inn, ideal für einen Pub-Parkplatz/Zwischenstopp zum Essen (Foto beigefügt). Der Van war an beiden Standorten warm und gemütlich. Die Übergabe am Ende verlief reibungslos. Mel war sehr daran interessiert, zu hören, wo wir gewesen waren, und machte kleine Vorschläge für zukünftige Verbesserungen (z. B. Verdunkelungsrollos).
