Holiday rentals & bare pitches

LIABILITY

The campground's reception service is the customer's single point of contact and is responsible for fulfilling the obligations set out hereunder. It shall not be held responsible for force majeure events, other extraordinary circumstances or the actions of anyone outside the structure, the organization of the customer's stay or the services rendered during that stay.

Further, pursuant to current legislation, the usual hotel liability does not extend to providers of outdoor accommodation. Consequently, Les Rives du Douet campground may not be held liable in the event of loss, theft or damage to personal belongings within the campground, on our car parks or in communal spaces (toilet & shower block, swimming pool, etc.). Certain precautions can help you avoid such aggravation, such as locking the door to your rental.

HOLIDAY RENTALS

FACILITIES: HOLIDAY RENTALS

The campground offers rentals with varying capacities, depending on the model. All our holiday rentals have a pre-determined maximum capacity of occupants and may not be rented to parties exceeding that number. If the maximum capacity is exceeded, you will be offered a bigger model or a second rental.

Tents cannot be pitched on spots designated for bungalows, save with the prior agreement of the reception team.

Babies and infants count towards occupancy.

The price is calculated per rental, not by number of occupants. All prices include the rental accommodation, electricity, water in the toilet & shower block, a vehicle at or near the rental and inside the campground, and access to the campground's reception, toilet and shower, activity and relaxation facilities.

All our holiday rentals are fitted with bedding (blankets, pillows, pillow protectors and mattress protectors), with the exception of sheets (available for hire) and bath linens.

Reception must be notified of any additional vehicles. You may be asked to park them outside the campground.

At the end of your stay, you will need to return your rental in good working condition, clean, and with the dishware washed, dried and put away.

For detailed descriptions of the rentals, please contact reception on +33 (0)2 41 59 14 47. The rental floor plans are non-binding. The interior layout and décor may differ slightly from the plans but will not affect maximum occupancy.

RESERVATIONS

Reservations become firm upon receipt of a 20% down payment on the total price of the stay (to which processing fees may be added). The remaining balance will be due 15 days before the scheduled check-in date (no reminder will be sent). For reservations made less than 15 days before the scheduled check-in date, 20% down payment and remaining balance payable on arrival.

For last-minute reservations (less than one week before the scheduled check-in date), no down payment is required, with the full price of the stay being payable on arrival at the campground.

Processing fees : Applied to reservations made by post. Online reservations are not subject to processing fees.

Confirmation : Upon receipt of the down payment, a reservation confirmation letter will be sent to the customer, to be shown at check-in.

Cancellations : by the buyer : for any cancellations communicated to reception, the campground will retain any processing fees and/or down payment.

By the seller : Les Rives du Douet may find itself compelled to modify or cancel a stay or an activity due to events outside its control. In that case, the provisions laid down in Articles 101 and 103 of Decree 94-490 of 15 June 1994 will automatically apply.

Interruption : No refund will be issued if the customer cuts their stay short for any reason whatsoever. In that case, the accommodation will then be released for rental.

Check-in/check-out : Clients must check in on the date indicated on the confirmation letter.

In the low season, check-in time is 3 pm to 7 pm daily, under the conditions agreed upon with reception. Check-out time is 10 am. The minimum stay is two nights.

In the high season, the minimum stay is two nights, and check-in time is Saturday from 2 pm to 8 pm with check-out the following Saturday by 10 am.

A 24-hour grace period is allowed for check-in. After that time, if the client has failed to contact reception, the reservation will be cancelled and the accommodation released for rental.

Security deposit : A €200 security deposit is required per rental on all reservations. For groups, a €200 security deposit is required for a one-night reservation for multiple rental units, so long as the billing is all in one name. The security deposit is payable by cheque or cash. A receipt will then be issued. The deposit will be returned after the final inspection with reception staff at the end of the stay.

Incoming occupants are solely responsible for the initial inspection. Upon arrival, the customer has 24 hours in which to report any missing or damaged items and communicate any remarks to reception.

Prices : The prices indicated in the brochure are valid for the relevant calendar year. All prices are provided in euros. The price of a holiday rental will vary depending on the time of year, the model and the length of the stay. A detailed, up-to-date price schedule is available on request.

The price of a stay covers : access to and use of all the campground's facilities, electricity, water and Internet, and enjoyment of the pitch or rental during the reserved period.

The price of a stay does not cover : the tourist tax, optional cancellation insurance, paid activities, Internet access, paid add-on services, or cleaning of the holiday rental.

In addition to the price of the rental, processing fees of €5 will be applied to any reservations for a stay of less than seven nights or €20 for a stay of more than seven nights.

The price of a bare pitch will vary depending on the applicable rate, the number of campers, the length of the stay and the time of year. A detailed, up-to-date price schedule is available on request.

Insurance : Personal civil liability insurance is required before making any reservation.

Payment of the stay

Payment : payments made by the customer will only be considered final after actual receipt of the sums due by the service provider.

Payments by bank transfer in the case of colonies or groups in particular: the payment deadline upon receipt of the invoice is set at 15 days maximum.

In the event of late payment and payment of sums due by the customer beyond the time limit set above, or after the payment date appearing on the invoice addressed to the latter, late penalties calculated at the rate of 3,40% of the amount including tax of the price of the provision of services, will be acquired automatically and automatically from the service provider, without any formality or prior notice. A lump sum indemnity of €40 will also be requested for recovery costs.

Non-compliance with payment conditions : the service provider reserves the right, in the event of non-compliance with the payment conditions set out above, to suspend or cancel the provision of the services ordered by the customer and / or to suspend the performance of its obligations after implementation remained ineffective.

Disputes

All disputes to which the purchase and sale transactions concluded in application of these general conditions of sale could give rise, concerning their validity, interpretation, execution, termination, consequences and consequences and which could not have been be resolved between the service provider and the customer will be submitted to the competent courts under the conditions of common law.

The customer is informed that he can in any case resort, in the event of a dispute, to a conventional mediation procedure or any other alternative method of dispute resolution.

BARE PITCHES

FACILITIES: BARE PITCHES

A pitch is an empty space designed to accommodate a car and a tent, a car and a caravan or a motorhome.

Pitches are available with (10 amps only), for one person (solo rates) or two people (duo rates).

In the case of more than two campers, a price per additional adult or child will be applied to the base rate, with a cap of six people per pitch.

Customers cannot exceed the maximum capacity of a bare pitch (six campers).

If that number is exceeded, they will be offered a second pitch. The price (depending on the applicable rate) includes an overnight stay for one or two people, electricity, a vehicle at or near the pitch and inside the campground, and access to the campground's reception, toilet and shower, activity and relaxation facilities.

When no campers are present for a few days, or for an extended period of time within the dates when the campground is open, a price for storage may be applied.

RESERVATIONS

Pitches can be reserved by post or phone, with a fixed down payment of €30. If the total price of the reservation is less than the fixed down payment amount, then the total price of the stay is to be paid. The remaining balance, if any, is payable on arrival.

Confirmation : Once the reservation is made, a reservation confirmation letter will be sent to the customer, to be shown at check-in.

Check-in/check-out : Clients must check in on the date indicated on the confirmation letter.

In the low season, check-in time is 3 pm to 7 pm daily, under the conditions agreed upon with reception. Check-out time is 12 pm. There is no minimum stay.

In the high season, check-in time is 2 pm to 8 pm daily. Check-out time is 12 pm.There is no minimum stay.

If the customer does not appear on the agreed date, and without any news from the customer, the pitch will be released for other campers the following morning. In that case, the customer will not have the option of rebooking the chosen pitch.

Payment of the stay

For both down payments and balances, Les Rives du Douet accepts the following payment methods: bank or postal cheque made out to «Régisseur du Camping les Rives du Douet», holiday voucher, credit card and online payment. Les Rives du Douet has been approved by the ANCV (French Holiday Voucher Agency).

If you use that payment method, we recommend placing it in a security envelope and sending your duly completed vouchers by registered mail.

SHARED FACILITIES

Cats and dogs : Attack dogs and guard dogs are not allowed in the campground. For all other pets, you will be asked to provide their up-to-date rabies vaccination records and proof of your pet's identification tattoo or microchip. Failing that, and if you are unable to provide that proof quickly, the head of reception may bar the pet owner who is not in compliance with this clause from the campground, with no possibility of a refund. Pets must be kept on leads in the campground. Only one pet is allowed per pitch or rental. Pets are not permitted around the pool or in the shared toilet and shower or children's play areas.

Tourist tax : A tourist tax of €0.20 per night, per person 18 and over, is collected on site at the end of the stay. This tax applies to both holiday rentals and bare pitches. The following people are exempt from this tax: children under the age of 18, seasonal employees with a local employment contract, people with the right to emergency accommodation or temporary relocation. This tax applies from 1 January to 31 December of the current year.

Minors : Minors are only allowed at the campground without their parents with the written authorization of the parents of each minor.

Data protection : Pursuant to French Data Protection Act 78-17 of 6 January 1978, all buyers have the right to access, modify, rectify and delete their name-specific data, communicated to Les Rives du Douet when purchasing their stay. Buyers can exercise those rights by writing to Camping les Rives du Douet, Rue des Blanchisseries, Doué-la-Fontaine, 49700 Doué-en-Anjou, France.

Pandemic covid 19

Conditions for reimbursement of customer deposits for rentals and bare pitches

The reservation contracts for Doué en Anjou campsites stipulate that the down payments as well as the administrative fees paid by the customer will be retained by the campsite in the event of cancellation by the buyer outside the State of Emergency decree.

However, in order to facilitate the acts of purchasing a week of vacation, the community agrees to grant relaxation of the reimbursement conditions in the event that the customer cannot postpone his stay in year n. for the following reasons :

Cancellation : due to the buyer : for any cancellation made to the campsite reception, the latter will retain the administrative fees and the deposit paid.

Cancellation by the buyer due to COVID-19 : considering the persistent risk of COVID-19, a refund of down payments will be made in the following cases :

National or local confinement on the scheduled date

Obligation to close campsites on the scheduled date

Prohibition or limitation of travel on the scheduled date

Government restrictions on the number of people traveling in groups for private gatherings.
