From initial booking to returning the van at the end of our trip, the customer service and hospitality we received from Ruaridh was above and beyond expected. The location of the van (very close to Inverness airport) and the provision of necessities and more (bedding, blankets, crockery and utensils, phone holder, multiple charging ports, table and chairs) made it extremely easy to fly in with with minimal luggage. Again the location, condition and utility of the van made it extremely easy to travel Scotland’s coastline staying on cliff tops, beaches and campsites all with sufficient supply of water, gas and power. Would highly recommend both Ruaridh and this VW camper van. A fantastic experience and we would definitely use again for future trips. August 2024

Ruaridh was an exceptional motorhome host. We are very grateful for the effort and time you took to assist us with a pick up from the airport. Ruaridh was thorough with his explanations of the van, and provided assistance where needed. The van itself was a great size to drive on the narrow highland roads. The bed was very comfortable for two people. Everything needed for the trip was supplied with the van. Thank you again for your great service. This van trip was the highlight of our UK adventures. If a bond and a friendship is what your looking for in a van, look no further. The Thermos was the perfect companion to take us round Scotland for our first trip around the highlands. We were due to pick up a different campervan, but 3 days before our trip we received a last minute cancellation from a different advertiser - but aren’t we so glad we ended up meeting Ruaridh and renting his campervan Thermos instead! Ruaridh was so helpful with our last minute stressful situation, doing everything he could to make things work out for us. When we arrived, Ruaridh provided the most hospitable and kind welcome to his area of the world. He gave us a thorough introduction to Thermos and made sure we felt confident heading out on the road, providing lots of recommendations, clear information and brilliant advice. We instantly fell in love with the authentic camper feel and the history of the van. Thermos is equipped with everything you need and is suitable for both wild camping or in one of th many campsites - we did a mix of both, taking Thermos round the North Coast 500, and would definitely recommend this campervan for whatever kind of adventure you’re looking for! Thermos was extremely reliable; we didn’t need to charge the battery once during our 6 day trip, and filled up water every 2/3 days. The bed was extremely comfortable with the mattress topper and provided the best cosy evenings in the most beautiful locations. Ruaridh and his campervan made our week in the highlands so special. What a fabulous weekend exploring a small part of the NC500 from the comfort of a very comfortable, well appointed and well loved camper van? Ruaridh couldn’t have been more gracious and helpful. Superb communication in advance and a thorough handover on arrival. His instruction manual was a work of art and ensured we were able to answer any question with ease. We had the trip of a lifetime in Ruaridh's camper! Ruardih did everything he could to make our entire journey from start to finish as smooth and stress-free as possible. Some of our personal highlights from hiring this camper were the close proximity to Inverness Airport, the ability to park up every night off-grid not having to rely on mains gas, water, or electricity giving us the freedom to explore the highlands at our own leisure, and also the incredible sound systems installed in the van meaning we could listen to our favourite tunes mile by mile. We can't thank Ruardih enough for going the extra mile to make our trip that extra bit special. I would 100% recommend hiring this awesome camper to anyone. November 2023

An amazing trip, van and host. We couldn't have been happier with or asked for a better adventure week in Scotland. We slept 2 nights "wild" and 2 nights at a campsite. It was the perfect van to come back to after a long days walk - reliable, well equipped and well maintained. Ruaridh was an exceptional host, explaining everything thoroughly and making us feel at ease - just an all round great guy. Ben Nevis is a must to tick off the hiking list and we also visited the Sligachan falls on the Isle of Skye. A very special trip that we won't be forgetting for a while.
