I can’t thank Ruaridh enough! What a great experience and one that has converted us to the campervan holiday life. From pick up to drop off Ruaridh communicated so well and explained everything so thoroughly that I was completely prepared for anything. The van has clearly been taken care of and upgraded with love and patience from Ruaridh. It was kitted out so perfectly that all we needed was food and we were off on our adventure! We had an absolutely amazing experience! The campervan is incredibly well-equipped – it truly has everything you could possibly need. It’s very easy to drive, with the perfect size for manoeuvring and parking, while still offering a comfortable and spacious interior for two people. Ideal especially for those who don’t yet have much experience driving a van. Everything went smoothly with both collection and return, and Ruaridh worked alongside us to quickly overcome any small issues that came up along the way. The deposit was promptly refunded, and the whole process was completely transparent and honest. Ruaridh is exceptionally helpful, honest, and trustworthy. He was always just a call or message away, ready to assist whenever needed. It’s clear he has great care and affection for his campervans – you can really see it in the effort he puts into their upkeep, maintenance, and thoughtful optimisation. Our motorhome broke down and we hired thermos to do the NC500. Ruaridh’s help in a really stressful situation was first class. He helped with our plans and was easily contactable throughout our trip. Thermos is a versatile campervan and is ideal for the single lanes of the highlands. We are already thinking of hiring her again for next year. We came quite attached to the van and we’re sorry to say goodbye. Mai 2025

My partner and I spent a 6-7 days roadtrip with super Ruaridh’s campervan around the Isle of Skye and the west coast, and it’s been one of our best roadtrips ever, or probably the best! The campervan, even if it looks “from the 2000”, is in an amazing condition and driving it has been a pleasure. The camper part is very new and built with all the details and very well thought out. Ruaridh has been very nice and one of the key pieces to have such a wonderful experience. He helped us to plan the roadtrip and gave us lots of very good tips for it. We left Scotland very happy and willing to come back to explore more and I am sure we would repeat with Ruaridh’s campervan. Thank you so much Ruaridh! Isabel and Roger September 2024

Ruaridh was a kind and helpful host who gave us a very detailed induction who also responded quickly to any queries that we had whilst on the road. Our road trip took us all around the NC500 and also across to Skye over 9 days. The camper van was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and although small, it was very comfortable. Thermos was also very easy to navigate through the single tracked, sometimes steep and winding roads without any problems at all. We enjoyed our road trip very much and would not hesitate in recommending Ruaridh as a host and Thermos as a camper van. We had the most wonderful time and made some very special memories. If a bond and a friendship is what your looking for in a van, look no further. The Thermos was the perfect companion to take us round Scotland for our first trip around the highlands. We were due to pick up a different campervan, but 3 days before our trip we received a last minute cancellation from a different advertiser - but aren’t we so glad we ended up meeting Ruaridh and renting his campervan Thermos instead! Ruaridh was so helpful with our last minute stressful situation, doing everything he could to make things work out for us. When we arrived, Ruaridh provided the most hospitable and kind welcome to his area of the world. He gave us a thorough introduction to Thermos and made sure we felt confident heading out on the road, providing lots of recommendations, clear information and brilliant advice. We instantly fell in love with the authentic camper feel and the history of the van. Thermos is equipped with everything you need and is suitable for both wild camping or in one of th many campsites - we did a mix of both, taking Thermos round the North Coast 500, and would definitely recommend this campervan for whatever kind of adventure you’re looking for! Thermos was extremely reliable; we didn’t need to charge the battery once during our 6 day trip, and filled up water every 2/3 days. The bed was extremely comfortable with the mattress topper and provided the best cosy evenings in the most beautiful locations. Ruaridh and his campervan made our week in the highlands so special.
