Positiv: Eventually we were allowed to move pitch as the one we had was dark and by the old toilet block which is really not good. Once we had moved to the rear of the chateau we were fine and would return.

Verbesserungswürdig: Pitches in front of reception have low overhanging trees making it difficult to access pitches. A number of pitches we were told were reserved for that evening but the whole trip no one was on them.

Positiv: This is the second time we have stayed at Chateau De Martragny and like the first time it was just what we needed. Set in beautiful grounds the site is quiet and relaxed, the camping and caravan pitches are set out in an informal way so you can set up as you please. The facilities are spotlessly clean, fairly new, and plenty of them. The onsite restaurant /bar serves delicious meals at a very fair price, great in the evening after a day exploring the surrounding area. Fresh bread and pasteries in the small shop every morning. I think you get the picture? we loved it.

Positiv: Lovely to stay in the grounds of a chateau. Very well looked after 5* site in short driving distance to the ferry ports of Caen and Cherbourg. On site shop and restaurant were good...probably one of the nicest meals eaten at the campsites we stayed in. Nice that there are no static caravans.

Verbesserungswürdig: Barriers at the entrance /exit to the site, but otherwise perfect

Positiv: We have been to this site for many years with our children, we took a couple of years away from visiting france, due to covid and big family celebrations. Our children are all grown up so we decided to bring our campervan here, just my wife and I, hoping that things would be as perfect as they always were, we were not disappointed, the site is still as perfect as we remeber, from the lovely staff to the pitches, everyrhing is so clean and such friendly staff, this is the perfect place to, stop relax and unwind from lifes busy schedules. We will be coming back.

Positiv: De enorme ruimte rondom het kasteel. Het is prachtig aangelegd. Met verschillende grasvelden Wij hebben gefietst naar de stranden 20 km. En naar Bayeux 10 km Een echte aanrader.

Positiv: Mooie nette camping met goede faciliteiten.

Positiv: The Chateau and grounds are absolutely beautiful and the rooms are large and a privilege to stay in. The breakfasts overlooking the walled garden offer a big choice. We ate at the onsite restaurant both evenings. It's very convenient and good quality and value. We enjoyed the garden, pool and tennis court. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Bayeux, D-Day beaches and Caen Ferry all nearby. We'll be back!

Positiv: We have visited this multiple times since 2006 and it never disappoints. The facilities are excellent and the reception is warm. There is a huge amount of space, which was invaluable during the recent "canicule" (heatwave). Many of the pitched (not all) are shaded by mature trees. This is site for those who like a slow pace.

Positiv: We liked the choice of pitches; the driveway up to the chateau was spectacular. The showers and toilets were clean and the site was kept tidy. We particularly liked the bread and pastries each morning

Positiv: Wij hadden een topplek, onder de bomen in de schaduw met uitzicht op de receptie en het kasteel plus voetbalveld omzoomd met bomen. Ook de douchecabines met regendouches en wastafel vonden wij erg fijn.
