Positiv: This was our first visit to L'Isle Verte . It is a very efficiently run & pleasant campsite right on the banks of the Loire. Conveniently placed in the village, near to shops, cafes & restaurants.
Verbesserungswürdig: Bread can be ordered the day before but it would be good to have a few basic items available, such as water and milk, for visitors who arrive late after a long journey and are unable to get to a shop in time. The exit barrier is controlled by computer and we were not able to leave our car inside the campsite after our departure time ( to get breakfast with friends) despite the fact that I am disabled and unable to walk to the exit.

So good we stayed another week
Positiv: Location, service facilities all excellent, lovely swimming pool and nice bar / restaurant. Good access to Riverside footpath for dog walk. Most of all a peaceful ambience and lovely flowers planted around. I just feel at home there.
Verbesserungswürdig: The bar was closed between 12 and 2pm and it would have been nice sometimes to have a beer then.

Verbesserungswürdig: Teveel geluidsoverlast van de weg, sanitair was niet altijd even goed schoon, soms was wc papier zelfs op. Ontvangst bij aankomst ook niet heel hartelijk

Mooie rustige camping - schitterende omgeving
Positiv: Mooie camping met veel groen en schaduw. Engels sprekend. Keurig en ruim voldoende sanitair met zwembad en restaurant. Bakker, restaurants, terrasjes en winkeltje aangrenzend. Prachtige fietsroutes langs grotten, kastelen en abdij. Mooi dorpje met kasteel en veel fietsers.

A small site, but a big experience
Positiv: The site sitsi by the side of the Loire in the village of Montsoreau. The facilities are very well maintained. The on site restaurant serves great food, and there are many wine caves in the area to visit. There are shops and places to eat in the village, and bus services into Saumur. The staff are very helpful.
